London 2009 I

Nikon D700 | 50mm | 1/125 @ f/1.8 | ISO 1600

Here is part one of the (cinematic) recap of the 2009 London trip.  I resisted the urge to re-edit them as I see them today, and left them as I edited them in late 2009, as they appear in the book that came out that year on the trip.  I hope you enjoy, and if you do, please leave a comment of some kind at the bottom–it really does help to get some feedback on this stuff!

  1. Oooh…aaaah. Really cool photos. In general on this blog, and in this post. I love the empire of the sun one. And the blue of the fontain agains the black with gold lights works really well.

  2. Wow – these are really nice. I agree with Megan; I was struck by the color after looking at the B&W. Things just seemed to pop! I think my favorite might be the first one. I love the colors, the reflections, and the single quiet reader in the midst of all the busy-ness.

  3. I really like the 4th one. The angle and the way you split the photo 50/50 between the buildings and the sky is great. The contrast of the blue sky and the shadowy buildings is pretty rad too. Def my favorite of this group.
