Here are the first rolls that I have had processed and scanned from the new Hasselblad 501CM. Sometimes I forget how much shallower the depth of field is with medium format…hence the out of focus shots. It’s a beautiful camera, I just need to spend more time with it. It’s miles better, in operation, than my old Mamiya C220 twin lens reflex, which was my first medium format camera. You would notice from the images the Mamiya has produced, but handling it again today there is a noticeable difference–the Hasselblad was made in 2001 and isn’t old, creaky, or held together with electrical tape 🙂
The first three shots are with Fuji Pro 400H, the last three with Kodak Ektar 100. I really like the Fuji, but the Ektar can produce some very nicely saturated colors in good light. The Pro 400H is just so damn versatile.
