San Antonio

Big Hops

I recently spent a weekend visiting a friend in San Antonio, Texas. It was a short trip, designed primarily to catch up with an old friend who I hadn’t seen in almost two years; it was scheduled around a soccer game.

I am a season ticket holder for the local soccer team, Minnesota United FC, and my friend is a fan of his local side, the San Antonio Scorpions. We attended the game, and I was excited as it was my first away game I’d ever been to. On both my initial and my return flight, the team was on my plane. It was pretty exciting to get to meet the players, chat with them as we flew, and take some pictures. It really made me feel like a part of the trip.

The game was a success–MN United FC won the game–and the trip as a whole was a blast. I am excited to go back again! Having lived in San Antonio for a few years myself, seeing places I hadn’t seen in almost a decade was interesting; some things have changed, much has not.

It was also the first time I had a chance to use the brand new Fuji X100T that I upgraded to from the X100S, and I enjoyed using it by and large. It’s not a huge step up from the older models (both of which I’ve owned–I’m a big fan of the X100 series). It handles largely like the older models do, and unless you’ve used the others extensively, you would not immediately notice the changes.

I’m Off!

I’m off for a week of sun and surf on Anna Maria Island, Florida! I will see you all when I get back. I may be blogging down there, and I may not be. Honestly, I’d say it’s 50/50. I kind of like the idea of unplugging for a week…

So we’ll see. If you don’t hear from me, then I’ll see you all on the flip side.

Gone Missing

“Boys” – Fargo, ND

I know I have been absent lately, but don’t give up on me! Life has been insanely busy, and I haven’t had much time to shoot, let alone process, scan or edit any film. In fact, I have a bunch of film that still needs to be sent out that is boxed up to be sent out! I started a new job and at the moment it is requiring a great deal of time and effort.

Now that the photos from Portugal are, for the most part, edited and posted for your enjoyment, the blog will most likely get back to its roots. Initially, this was created just as a way to post photos that I took and to allow people to see some of my work while following the goings-on of my day-to-day life.

I hope you will stick with me through this dry spell, as I work out how to get more time for shooting in. I look forward to posting more…

I’m off to Minneapolis for the weekend. It’s the first weekend of the month, so you know what that means…

Just a quick post today to announce my new Tumblr feed, BATHROOM TREVOR.  This is a collection of past, present, and future bathroom self-portraits, from any- and everywhere I go!  I got some feedback on this idea on the blog and I thought I’d make it happen.  I think it’s a neat idea, and it might grow into a larger project, but for now, it’s just BATHROOM TREVOR over at Tumblr.

You can get there by clicking the links below, or the photo above!

My original Tumblr feed is HERE.

You can also see the set at flickr HERE.

Hope you all had a good long weekend, and I’ll be back with more posts tomorrow.  Let me know if you have ideas for the project, or if you’d like to see the posts concurrently on the blog, or if Tumblr is the best place to catch this particular project.  What are your thoughts?  Let me know in the comments below or get in touch on Twitter.
